About US

Welcome to Hope Valley Holidays at Glenbrook — a place with deep roots, a rich history, and an exciting new chapter ahead.

We’re Gill Petty and Andy Lazenby, proud local residents of Hope Valley and the new custodians of this much-loved site. As members of the local community, we understand what makes this valley special — its landscape, its heritage, and the people who call it home. Glenbrook has been part of the fabric of Hope Valley for decades, most notably as a cherished site run by the Girl Guide Association, where generations created lifelong memories. We feel privileged to continue that legacy.

Our vision is simple: to preserve the spirit of Glenbrook while thoughtfully developing it into a welcoming campsite and activities hub for visitors who want to experience the very best of the Peak District.

Whether you’re visiting for a peaceful countryside escape, an active adventure, or simply to reconnect with nature, we look forward to welcoming you to Glenbrook.

The Stables Cottage

Our fully renovated and refurbished cottage (available from May) offers comfortable, high-quality accommodation for up to four guests in two bedrooms. Thoughtfully restored with care and attention, it combines character with modern comfort — perfect for families, friends, and walkers seeking a relaxing base in the heart of the National Park.

Camping at Glenbrook

We currently offer five spacious camping fields, each with generous, clearly marked pitches. Whether you’re arriving with a tent, campervan, or simply a love of the outdoors, you’ll find plenty of room to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside.

Our setting provides direct access to some of the Peak District’s most spectacular walking and cycling routes, with the villages, pubs, and railway connections of Hope Valley close at hand.

Looking Ahead

We’re excited about the future of Glenbrook and have plans to carefully re-open the facilities while staying true to the site’s history and character.

Our plans include:

  • An onsite shop for essentials and local produce
  • A welcoming café serving drinks and light bites
  • Eight bunk rooms within the iconic “Toblerone” building
  • The Stables Cottage and a 2 Bed Flat, both as holiday lets
  • A dedicated children’s play area
  • Each development will be guided by our commitment to sustainability, community, and respect for Glenbrook’s heritage.

As local owners, we care deeply about Glenbrook and its place within Hope Valley. We are committed to:

Protecting the natural beauty of the site

Honouring its long history of outdoor adventure and community use
